Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Yahukimo Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Heru Hidayanto led a joint patrol and crime scene investigation on Saturday (3/8/2024), following a recent murder and truck arson in Dekai District, Yahukimo, Papua.

Around 100 personnel, including Operation Chief Inspector Nur Wahyu and Mobile Brigade forces, conducted searches at suspected hideouts, finding sharp weapons and homemade guns.

Chief Heru said on Sunday that the Indonesian military and the Indonesian National Police (INP)forces continued to pursue the suspects and remain committed to maintaining safety in Yahukimo. 

He encouraged residents to stay calm and vigilant. The increased patrols and investigations aim to quickly resolve the case and ensure community security.
