inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, emphasized that the Zero Over-Dimensional and Over-Loading (ODOL) program arose from the need to provide safer roads and reduce the risk of traffic accidents.

In a National Seminar held in South Kalimantan, Agus emphasized that the issue of vehicles with excessive dimensions and loads impacts not only infrastructure but also public safety.

"We're not just talking about load, tonnage, or vehicle modifications. We're talking about human lives," said Agus.

He emphasized that roads are a shared space, so every decision to comply with safety regulations is a form of respect for other road users.

According to him, safety must be placed above short-term economic interests.

"There is no economic benefit more valuable than human safety," he said.

Agus hopes the Zero ODOL program can become a shared effort to create more orderly, safe, and humane transportation for all.
