inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto invited all people to continue to promote national defense by making real contributions in various aspects of life.

The appeal was conveyed during the celebration of the 76th National Defense Day which falls on December 19th. This year, the commemoration raises the theme 'Promote National Defense for Advanced Indonesia'.

"Every individual has an important role in the life of the nation and state. In the context of national defense, there are five bases for national defense, namely love of the homeland, awareness of the nation and state, namely Pancasila, willingness to sacrifice, and initial ability to defend the country," explained President Prabowo on Thursday (12/19/2024).

President Prabowo also highlighted the current developments in the strategic and geopolitical environment, which show increasingly complex dynamics and have the potential to have a significant impact on global security.

Therefore, according to President Prabowo, it is necessary to anticipate, align, update defense policies, and implement the right national defense strategy.

"This is to face the challenges in implementing the Total People's Defense and Security System (Sishankamrata)," said President Prabowo.

Sishankamrata, says Prabowo, is the best national defense strategy because Indonesia has the advantage of population and a vast archipelago. In support of this system, the Ministry of Defense has implemented the National Defense Awareness Development (PKBN) program.
