Death Toll Rises to 13 in Cilacap Landslide as SAR Teams Recover Two More Victims

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The death toll from the landslide in Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap, Central Java, increased to 13 after rescue teams recovered the body of Diah Ramadani (17) on Sunday afternoon (16/11/2025).

“Diah Ramadani was found deceased at Worksite A-1 at 2.58 pm local time,” said Cilacap Sear and Rescue (SAR) Office Head Muhammad Abdullah, who serves as the SAR Mission Coordinator, as cited by antaranews.com.

Earlier the same day, SAR teams also found the body of Kasrinah (47) at Worksite A-2 at 12.03 pm. This brought the total number of victims recovered on day four of the search to two.

Abdullah added that 10 people remain missing, and operations continue despite difficult terrain and unstable weather. SAR personnel also discovered two body parts at Worksite A-1 and B-1 in the afternoon.

The landslide, which struck on Thursday evening), buried homes in Dusun Tarukahan and Dusun Cibuyut, damaging 12 houses and threatening 16 others. The disaster affected 46 residents, with  23 survived, 13 were confirmed dead, and 10 are still being searched for.
