Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) counterterrorism special detachment, Densus 88, has launched a three-phase roadmap to support the reintegration of former Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) members and their families into national life, following the group's disbandment.
"Although JI has disbanded, managing its former members requires time, hence the need for a roadmap," said Superintendent Mayndra Eka Wardhana, the Densus 88 Head of Counter Narrative sub-directorate during the 2025 Global Terrorism Index discussion on Thursday (10/4/2025).
The roadmap spans from 2024 to 2028 and includes socialization, legal actions, asset tracking, and eventual reintegration. The first phase (2024–2025) focuses on disseminating information about JI’s disbandment, mapping members, and initiating legal processes.
Phase two (2026–2027) centers on continued monitoring, repatriation efforts, and pre-integration measures. The final stage in 2028 aims for full reintegration.
Jamaah Islamiyah is known for its ambition to establish a pan-Islamic state across Southeast Asia. The roadmap is part of a broader initiative to counter extremism and prevent recidivism.
