inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police gave their explanation relating to the Car Free Night (CFN) in Jakarta. It was said that the event will be carried out around Sudirman-Thamrin street.

"We are still coordinating with the Transportation Agency on the matter. Every policy definitely will have to go through further discussion and we are still discussing it," explained the Director of Traffic for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Komarudin, Monday (6/9/2025).

In the discussion, the police is also looking into the volume of vehicles and community activities during the duration of the event

"We will calculate the volume of vehicles, then community activities, and which sections will later be used as CFN," he said

Previously, the Vice Governor of Jakarta Rano Karno stated that he wants to implement a car free night or CFN in Jakarta. The discourse is related to the current enthusiasm for sports activities at night by some people in Jakarta.
