Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese witnessed the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday (6/2/2026), aimed at integrating Indonesia’s new sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, into the global investment ecosystem.
Signed by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong at the Merdeka Palace, the agreement establishes a structured framework for bilateral capital mobilization and capacity building in high-priority sectors including infrastructure, digital technology, and green energy.
"This collaboration opens wider access to the global investment ecosystem, strengthens trust, and creates real opportunities for the development of strategic projects," said Rosan, as cited by antaranews.comt.
The partnership is in line with Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 and Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045.
Beyond capital flows, the agreement emphasizes human capital development through talent exchanges and structured collaboration with Australian financial institutions. A joint Working Group will be formed immediately to implement the cooperation, ensuring regular oversight of strategic projects across mining, health, and agriculture business sectors.
