Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore is providing legal assistance to an Indonesian citizen accused of sexual harassment during a flight to Singapore.

Judha Nugraha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director of Protection for Indonesian Citizens and Legal Entities, confirmed Tuesday (11/3/2025) that the embassy has communicated with Singaporean authorities to expedite legal proceedings.

The 23-year-old suspect allegedly exposed himself to a female flight attendant during a flight on 23 January 2025. Singapore Police arrested him upon arrival at Changi Airport.

He is set to stand trial on 12 March 2025 under Section 377BF of the Penal Code 1871 and the Tokyo Convention Act 1971. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison, a fine, or both.
