Inp.polri.go.id - Cianjur. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Security Maintenance Agency, in collaboration with FKDB, a local organisation, harvested 125 tons of hybrid corn from a 10-hectare demonstration plot in Mulyasari Village, Cianjur West Java.
“This program is part of our commitment to support national food security through partnerships with communities and strategic agricultural stakeholders,” said Inspector General Edy Murbowo in Cianjur on Tuesday (20/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Planted in December 2024, the project exceeded expectations with an average yield of 12.5 tons per hectare. Edy attributed the success to intensive guidance provided to farmer groups—from land preparation to seed selection and crop care.
The harvest will be distributed through state National Food logistics (Bulog) and the Doa Bangsa Agro (DBA) network. Corn was chosen as the priority commodity to support national self-sufficiency, in line with the INP–Ministry of Agriculture program.
