inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Ombudsman managed to save a loss of IDR 166.49 billion in 2024 as a result of preventing maladministration in order to protect the rights of the people and maintain the efficiency of state administration.
"In 2024, the economic loss value that was successfully saved by the Indonesian Ombudsman reached IDR 166.49 billion; and if added up during the 2021-2024 period, the total reached almost IDR 497 billion," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman Mokhammad Najih in Jakarta, Thursday (5/22/2025).
According to Najih, 2024 is an important milestone for the Indonesian Ombudsman. The reason is, throughout last year, his party managed to handle 10,837 public reports covering the agrarian, education, personnel, and health and population services sectors.
"Of that number, 10,303 reports were successfully resolved," he said.
Of all the reports received, the three most frequently complained about were the agrarian sector (1,861 reports), personnel (1,354 reports), and education (1,041 reports).
This pattern, added Najih, shows that fundamental issues related to access to land, employment, and education services are still the main concerns of the community in the context of public services.
Meanwhile, the most reporters came from individuals, reaching 8,380 people. He said this figure reflects the increasing awareness of individuals towards their rights as users of public services.
On the other hand, the most reported parties were local governments (5,146 reports), followed by the National Land Agency (1,338 reports), and State Owned Enterprises/Private Companies(724 reports).
"This indicates that there is still a lot of homework in the consistency of implementing public service standards at the regional level and national strategic institutions," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman.
