inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Java Regional Police have detained a suspect of sexual abuse on a family member of a patient of National Hospital (RSUP)  Hasan Sadikin, Bandung.

The General Criminal Director of West Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Surawan says that the arrest was carried out on March 23, 2025. The case is now under intense investigation.

“The suspect has been arrested on March 23 and we are now in the middle of the investigation process,” says Surawan on Wednesday (4/9/2025).

In his statement, he says that the suspect with the initials of PAP, aged 31, was a resident doctor at Padjadjaran University (Unpad).

According to official information, the violence was committed against a family member of the patient and  occurred in mid-March 2025 in the hospital area.

Unpad and the Hasan Sadikin Hospital condemned the action. Both parties are committed to overseeing the investigation process of PAP's actions firmly, fairly, and transparently, and ensuring justice for the victim and family.

In addition, the university and the hospital said they had provided assistance to the victim in the reporting process to the West Java Regional Police.
