inp.polri.go.id - Cirebon. Cirebon Sub-regional City Police, West Java, returned 34 stolen motorbikes to victims who lost their vehicles in Cirebon between January and May 2025.
Cirebon Sub-regional City Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Sumarni said the return of dozens of motorbikes was carried out after the completion of the investigation and verification process of vehicle ownership.
"Today we are starting to return 34 stolen motorbikes to their rightful owners," he said.
He appealed to the public who feel they have lost their motorbikes in the last few months to immediately come to the Cirebon Sub-regional City Police HQ to match the data and vehicle ownership documents.
"The return of these motorbikes was carried out after we succeeded in uncovering several theft cases in Cirebon," he said.
He explained that the disclosure of this case was carried out by the police ranks in eight different locations, namely Gebang, Susukan, Depok, Sedong, Beber, Gempol, Babakan, and Sumber Districts.
In the operation, he said, the police secured 11 suspects involved in a series of thefts.
Sumarni said the methods used by the perpetrators were quite diverse, ranging from theft with violence, using fake keys, to taking motorbikes that were not locked with handlebars.
He added that the perpetrators were charged with articles in the Criminal Code in accordance with the cases they were involved in.
"We will continue to take action to reduce crime rates, especially bicycle theft cases in the Cirebon area," he said.
