Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has announced a daily budget of Rp 10,000 per child or pregnant woman for a free nutritious meal program to enhance family welfare, particularly benefiting workers and their dependents.

“While we initially planned for Rp 15,000, the current budget allows for Rp 10,000, which we have calculated to provide sufficient quality and nutrition in many regions,” he said during a press briefing at the Presidential Office on Friday (29/11/2024).

The program, part of broader social welfare efforts, could provide families with up to Rp 30,000 per day, assuming an average of three children per household. This allocation translates to approximately Rp 2.7 million per month per family.

President Prabowo highlighted the program’s synergy with other government social protection initiatives, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), to maximize support for vulnerable groups, including workers.

The President reiterated his commitment to improving social programs over time, alongside announcing a 6.5% increase in the national minimum wage for 2025.
