Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Chairman Erick Thohir revealed on Thursday (14/11/2024) that the organization has raised approximately Rp 400 billion to support the Indonesian national football team’s needs.
Speaking to the media, he explained that PSSI requires about Rp 800 billion annually for its operations, as reported by antaranews.com.
The funds include TV broadcasting rights worth Rp 70 billion, Rp 80 billion from Bank Mandiri, Rp120 billion from the government, Rp 20 billion per match in ticket sales, and Rp100 billion from private sector sponsorships.
“We’ve raised over Rp 400 billion, which is a solid start,” Chairman Erick said. “PSSI's management is transparent, with no 'mark-ups.' Every cost is carefully calculated to ensure that the funds are allocated directly to programs, not for individuals."
The funds also cover all age groups, including the women's team, and are crucial for sustaining long-term national team programs.
Chairman Erick emphasized that PSSI is committed to consistency, ensuring the national team performs well regularly.
"We want to build football together. It’s an expensive endeavor, but with transparency, everyone is satisfied," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
