inp.polri.go.id - Riau. Riau Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal says the 2024 Regional Head Election was going smoothly in the province.

He saw that in this election, the people of Riau are matured in voicing their opinions.

“Situation like this shows that the people of Riau are winning. People are coming to understand what a real democracy is. They have matured in democracy,” says Iqbal on Sunday (12/8/2024).

Although there were a few small disruptions during and after the regional elections, there were no notable security disturbances.

Iqbal also thanked all personnel who have been working together and become the best example for the next election in the next five years.

He hopes that the future leader of Riau will be someone who truly understands the conditions of Riau Province. A leader with character, trustworthy, and oriented towards the people and the country.
