Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Prominent Islamic scholar and caretaker of Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Toha Mahsun, has voiced strong support for the Indonesian National Police (INP) policy to prioritize santri, Islamic boarding school students, and Qur’an memorizers in its 2025 recruitment.
“Recruiting santri will produce officers with strong character and competitive capabilities,” he said in Surabaya, East Java on Thursday (21/2/2205), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Toha praised INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for making the santri recruitment pathway a key part of the INP’s selection process.
According to Mahsun, a pesantren background provides unique advantages, especially in character building, moral integrity, and ethical values—qualities essential for law enforcement officers.
