Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) is investigating the death of a retired Brigadier General, whose body was discovered at Marunda Dock, North Jakarta, on Friday (10/1).

"The cause of the incident is under investigation," said TNI Information Center Chief Major General Hariyanto on Tuesday (14/1/2025).

The retired Army officer, identified as HP (75) was last seen entering the dock area early on 9 January 2025, as shown in CCTV footage.

The fishermen reported spotting the next day a floating body near the eastern side of Marunda Center. A search and rescue team quickly recovered the body, identifying it as a male, dressed in a striped shirt, black jeans, and a black belt.

The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police is assisting with the investigation. Initial findings suggest that HO's car was seen driving along Dock 07-08 before falling into the sea. 

"We are currently searching for the car," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Spokesperson SEnior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indrari.
