inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Ten of the 12 victims of human trafficking (TPPO) from Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, have been safely repatriated from Myanmar.

"All 10 victims of human trafficking from Belitung have been safely repatriated from Myanmar," said Erwan Junandi, Head of the Manpower Division of the Belitung Cooperatives, SMEs, Trade, and Manpower Office (DKUKMPTK), in Tanjungpandan on Thursday (2/26/2026).

According to him, the 10 victims were repatriated in waves from Myanmar. However, two Belitung victims have not yet been repatriated.

He stated that both have left Myanmar and are in Malaysia for temporary stay.

"They have made a statement that they will not return to Indonesia temporarily and have chosen to remain in Malaysia," he said.

‎He stated that today, two victims of human trafficking from Belitung were successfully repatriated from Myanmar and arrived safely at H. AS Hanandjoeddin Airport.

‎"Two of them arrived in Belitung earlier, and we picked them up at the airport," he said.

‎He explained that the 10 victims of human trafficking from Belitung were safely repatriated and without any needs, so they can now reunite with their loved ones at home.

‎"They are all in good condition and healthy. So now they can be reunited with their families," he said.

‎Erwan added that the success of their repatriation was due to the cooperation of all parties, including the Belitung Social Services, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection (DSPPPA), the Belitung District Attorney's Office, the Tanjungpandan Immigration Office, and all other relevant parties who have provided significant assistance.

‎"The Indonesian Embassy in Myanmar has also provided significant assistance in their repatriation," he said.

‎He stated that his office is currently providing assistance and training to the 10 victims of human trafficking so that they are ready to return to the workforce.
