1,200 Rice Bags Were Sent to Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers and Angkot Drivers

inp.polri.go.id – Many people have been affected by the increase in the price of fuel oil. For this rease, the South Sumatra Police have sent their help by distributing provisions to the community. The South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Toni Harmanto, accompanied by the main officials of the South Sumatra Police, went directly to distribute the provisions at the Hajj Dormitory on Letjen Harun Sohar Street, Sukarami District, Palembang, Thursday (8/9/2022). The provision of 1,200 five kilograms of rice sacks were given to workers, angkot drivers, online motorcycle taxi drivers, and local communities who affected by the increase in fuel prices. "This is part of our effort in ease the burden on online motorcycle taxi drivers, and angkot drivers, which is a business sector who are greatly affected by the increase in fuel prices," he said. "We will continue to went directly to the field to provide social assistance, but we want to also make sure that the situation in South Sumatra Police is under control too. We hope that the aid from the government will be much more impactful to the community," he said.
