inp.polri.go.id - South Lampung. Police have uncovered alleged misuse of subsidized diesel fuel in Sukanegara Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung. The discovery resulted in the arrest of two men along with approximately 2,500 liters of subsidized diesel.
The South Lampung Police made the discovery on Thursday (9/24/2026) after receiving information about the alleged sale of subsidized diesel fuel from a gas station in the Tanjung Bintang area.
South Lampung Regional Police Vice Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent Made Silpa Yudiawan, stated that officers conducted an investigation and stopped a truck driven by BS (52) at around 9:45 a.m.
"Based on initial inspection, the vehicle was found to have recently transported and sold 105 liters of subsidized diesel fuel to a warehouse in Sukanegara Village. Officers then visited the warehouse for further inspection," said Made Silpa on Tuesday (9/29/2026).
Based on initial investigation, BS is suspected of selling three jerrycans of subsidized diesel fuel, totaling 105 liters, to a warehouse. The diesel fuel was reportedly sold for IDR 400,000 per jerrycan.
Police then proceeded to search the warehouse, located not far from where BS was arrested. At the location, officers found three 1,000-liter storage tanks, containing approximately 2,395 liters of diesel fuel.
In addition, police found three jerrycans containing diesel fuel totaling 105 liters, 30 empty jerrycans with a capacity of 35 liters, and a green Yamamax Pro fuel pump.
South Lampung Regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Police Senior Inspector Stefanus Reinaldo Fajar Nuswantoro Boyoh, stated that the alleged misuse involved transporting subsidized diesel fuel by truck before selling it to the warehouse.
"In this operation, we arrested two individuals: the driver of the truck and a warehouse guard. The seized evidence included a Mitsubishi Cold Diesel truck, two cell phones, approximately 2,500 liters of subsidized diesel fuel, a suction machine, and dozens of jerry cans," said Boyoh.
The two men arrested were identified as MR (26), who is suspected of acting as the warehouse guard, and BS (52), the truck driver.
Both men have been taken to the police headquarters for further questioning. Police are still investigating the alleged misuse of subsidized diesel fuel distribution, including the roles of each party.
