inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Foreign Affairs Minister states 408 non-procedural Indonesian Migrant Workers deported by the Saudi Arabian Kingdom have committed immigration violations with the majority of overstaying at the country.

“They are our working migrants that have committed immigration violations. Majority of them are overstaying,” says the Director of Indonesian Protection of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Judha Nugraha on Tuesday (1/14/2025).

Judha says the Saudi Arabian officials have deported hundreds of Indonesian Migrant Workers following an operation towards the foreign nationals.

“We can confirm that the process of Indonesian Migrant Worker deportation has been carried out from last Saturday (1/11/2025) with 211 of them having been deported, and the other 197 are today,” said Judha on Tuesday (1/14/2025).

He further explains this enforcement by the Saudi government towards the 408 non-procedural Indonesian Migrant Workers have made them blacklisted from entering the country.

This unfortunate case also made the non-procedural Indonesian Migrant Worker case to increase.

Previously, the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PPMI) had picked up 179 non-procedural Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) after being deported by the Saudi Arabian government for violating immigration documents.

The government's efforts to pick up 197 PMI is a form of state’s commitment to be present to all its citizens. Cases of deportation or forced repatriation of Indonesian migrant workers carried out by the Saudi Arabian government have so far reached approximately 500 people.
