inp.polri.go.id – The Aceh Regional Police destroyed 5.3 hectares of ready-to-harvest cannabis fields in the mountains of the Lamteuba area, Aceh Besar District, which were located in two different areas. The director of the Aceh Police's drug investigation, Police Commissioner Ruddi Setiawan said that the cannabis plants in the fields that were destroyed were approximately 53,000 stems with an estimated total weight of 13.3 tons. "The destruction of the marijuana fields involved the TNI, Customs and Excise, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and took place on Thursday (21/07/22)," explained the Aceh Regional Police Intermediate Officer. The marijuana field is located in a mountainous area in the Gampong Pulo area, Lamteuba Village, Seulimeum District, Aceh Besar District. "The height of the cannabis plant ranges from two to 2.5 meters. The age of the plant is estimated to be four months and is ready to harvest," said the Aceh Police Narcotics Director. Police officers headed to the field on foot for three hours. He said that case disclosure of the marijuana field was thanks to the the public information.
