Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesian cueist Albert Januarta has claimed victory at the 2025 World Pool Championship Junior in Saudi Arabia, defeating Germany’s Pius Baier 9–5 in the final match.

“This is a promising start. Albert has brought pride to Indonesia on the international stage,” wrote Hendra Kurniawan, the CEO of Carabao Billiards Indonesia, on social media Saturday (26/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Albert, representing Carabao Billiards Indonesia, delivered a stellar performance throughout the tournament, overcoming tough opponents including Abdulaziz Alaswad (7–1), Liao Hung-Yen of Taiwan (7–5), and Ahmad Altattan (7–1) before winning the title.

Kurniawan said that Albert’s achievement reflects not only talent but also hard work and strong support from his family. In August, the Riau Islands-born athlete is set to compete in a month-long senior tournament series in the United States.
