Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Rising star Alwi Farhan reclaimed the men’s singles crown for Indonesia at the BWF World Tour Super 500 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters on Sunday (25/1/2026).
Performing before a roaring home crowd at Istora Senayan, the 19-year-old delivered a masterclass in dominance, dismantling Thailand’s Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul in a swift 25-minute final with a staggering score of 21-5, 21-6.
"I want to show the younger generation that they, too, can stand on this podium one day," Alwi said following his victory, which marks Indonesia's first men's singles title in this tournament since 2023.
His flawless control and tactical precision left his opponent struggling to find a rhythm, securing seven consecutive points in the second game to seal the win. Alwi now shifts his focus to the upcoming Thailand Masters, aiming to maintain his momentum on the international circuit.
