Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s men’s singles shuttler Alwi Farhan won his first Macau Open title after defeating Malaysia’s Justin Hoh in straight games, 21-15, 21-5, at the 2025 Macau Open Super 300 final on Sunday (3/8/2025) at the Macau East Asian Games Dome.
Alwi controlled the tempo from the start and never allowed Justin Hoh to gain momentum,” the official match reported, as reported by antaranews.com.
The first game was tightly contested at 9-9, but Alwi pulled ahead with a five-point streak and closed the game 21-15.
In the second game, he intensified his attack, leading 11-1 at the interval before sealing the match 21-5. The top-seeded Indonesian displayed consistency and control throughout, securing his maiden BWF Super 300 title.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s men’s doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh. Reza Pahlevi fell short in the final, losing 20-22, 18-21 to Malaysia’s Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap.
