Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian Air Force mourned the loss of Air Marshal Fajar Adriyanto, who died in a civilian training aircraft crash in Ciampea, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday (3/8/2025).

“The aircraft, Quicksilver GT500, took off from Atang Sendjaja Air Base at 09:08 WIB and lost contact 11 minutes later. It crashed near Astana Cemetery, Ciampea,” said TNI AU Spokesperson Air Marshal I Nyoman Suadnyana, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Air Marshall Fajar, a combat pilot and F-16 veteran with the call sign “Red Wolf,” was piloting the aircraft during a routine sortie under the supervision of the Indonesian Aero Sport Federation (FASI).

The co-pilot, Roni, survived. Fajar was declared dead upon arrival at RSAU Dr. M. Hassan Toto Hospital.

The aircraft was airworthy and operated with official clearance (SIT/1484/VIII/2025).
