inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman urged young entrepreneurs to contribute to developing modern agriculture through innovation, technology, and character building to increase Indonesia's productivity and competitiveness globally.

"Revive idle land, revitalize youth, and revitalize villages. Be role models. If agriculture is managed modernly and professionally, I am confident that more and more large entrepreneurs will emerge from Indonesia's agricultural sector," Amran said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday (7/22/2026).

He emphasized this while attending the Inauguration and First National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesian Farmers Entrepreneurs (PTI) at the Ministry of Agriculture Auditorium.

Therefore, Amran encouraged the Indonesian Farmers Entrepreneurs to become an organization capable of producing resilient young entrepreneurs and serving as a model for the success of modern agricultural businesses in every region.

He encouraged all PTI members to utilize every inch of productive land, develop technology-based pilot areas, and become a driving force for empowering farmers and the younger generation in their respective regions.

He also stated that the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to collaborate with the PTI to accelerate the emergence of young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector through mentoring, the use of modern technology, and the development of pilot areas in various regions.

According to him, collaboration between the government and young entrepreneur organizations is one of the keys to strengthening farmer regeneration and increasing the competitiveness of the national agricultural sector towards Golden Indonesia 2045.

Furthermore, he emphasized that character is the most important asset for an entrepreneur. The courage to face failure, discipline, hard work, and an unyielding spirit will differentiate those who quit midway and those who will become major entrepreneurs.

"If you lose money, you lose nothing. If you lose passion, you lose something. But if you lose character, you lose everything. It is the character that will lead someone to become a successful leader and entrepreneur," he said.

He emphasized that the courage to face risks and failure is the main foundation for the birth of major Indonesian entrepreneurs.
