Inp.polri.go.id – Maluku. Maluku Regional Police Drug Investigation Directorate held urine test to hundreds of personnel in anticipating drugs misuse by police member. “As was instructed by the Maluku Regional Police Chief, in maintaining the integrity and preventing our members from drugs misuse, we decided to urine test them,” says the Vice Chief of Maluku Regional Police Chief, Brigadier General Stephen M. Napiun on Tuesday (1/30/2024). The urine test, which was held in Police Lieutenant Colonel Tahapary Field tribune, demonstrates strict monitoring and prevention of members from drugs abuse. “All Maluku Regional Police Personnel are urged to join the urine test and follow the instructions given by the medical team,” ordered Stephen. The urine test, says Stephen, does not mean judging the police members from using the drugs, however it acts as inspection and monitoring towards the personnel. During the activity, Stephen also told members who are in medication to inform the medical team prior the urine test. In his final remarks, the Vice Chief of Maluku Regional Police states that the urine test is part of routine activity that are held in Maluku Regional Police and its sub-regional police.
