Inp.polri.go.id - Kuala Lumpur. Leaders of ASEAN countries signed the Kuala Lumpur Declaration during the 46th ASEAN Summit held in Malaysia on Monday (26/5/2025), marking a renewed commitment to regional integration and cooperation.

“As we look toward 2045, ASEAN seeks to shape the future through shared governance and strategic vision,” said Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the Chair of ASEAN 2025, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The declaration, signed by 10 heads of state and government including Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, outlines ASEAN’s long-term vision under the theme ASEAN 2045: Our Future Together.

PM Anwar emphasized the need for ASEAN to embrace innovation and manage the risks of rapid technological change. He stressed that ASEAN’s future must be rooted in sustainability and inclusivity.
