Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati conveyed Indonesia’s economic resilience during a meeting with international rating agency S&P Global Ratings.

“I presented how Indonesia’s economic fundamentals remain strong amid ongoing global challenges,” she said via Instagram on Monday (26/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

She outlined government policies aimed at maintaining stability and fostering growth, including inflation control, fiscal strengthening, and structural reforms. The meeting reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to prudent and responsible fiscal policy.

“Confidence from international rating agencies like S&P is vital to maintaining positive investor sentiment,” Minister Sri Mulyani added.

As of 30 April 2025, the government had secured Rp 304 trillion in new debt financing—39.2% of the Rp 775.9 trillion target. Non-debt financing reached Rp 24.9 trillion, totaling Rp 279.2 trillion or 45.3% of the Rp 616.2 trillion financing target.

Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Djiwandono said that the financing progress is on track. The primary balance posted a surplus of Rp 173.9 trillion, and the state budget recorded a Rp 4.3 trillion surplus (0.02% of GDP) after three consecutive months of deficit.
