inp.polri.go.id - Bangka Belitung. The Bangka Belitung Regional Police have successfully thwarted an attempt to misuse government subsidized fertilizer by securing two trucks containing 24 tons of subsidized fertilizer.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Fauzan Sukmawansyah, said the two trucks were secured on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at around 10:30 a.m.
"These two trucks carrying the government subsidized fertilizer were secured at the Soll Marina Hotel intersection on Koba Boulevard, Central Bangka by the authorities on patrol," said Fauzan on Tuesday (8/26/2025).
Fauzan explained that the subsidized fertilizer carried by the two trucks came from Lampung with the aim to be sold in Bangka Belitung.
"The two truck drivers, namely RO (33) and BU (36) have been named as suspects based on the results of yesterday's case review," he explained.
From the police search, it was found that each truck contained 240 sacks. So, the total amount of subsidized fertilizer secured was 480 sacks weighing 24 tons.
Furthermore, Fauzan said that the modus operandi used by the suspects was suspected to be related to the price because the subsidized fertilizer sold was much cheaper.
"The suspect's confession was due to the modus operandi to seek profit from the price obtained. They got the price of this subsidized fertilizer at 180 thousand, then resold it to Babel for 200 thousand," he said.
For their actions, the suspects were threatened to be imprisoned for six years maximum or two years in minimum.
