Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Bali’s immigration authorities have issued Emergency Stay Permits to 302 foreigners stranded on the island due to the escalating Middle East conflict.
As of Friday (6/3/2026), the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Immigration Office processed 244 permits, while the Denpasar office handled 58 cases for travelers affected by widespread flight cancellations to major hubs like Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi.
"We urge all affected foreign nationals within our jurisdiction to immediately process their administrative requirements in person," Denpasar Immigration Chief R. Haryo Sakti said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The emergency facility is valid for 30 days and includes a full waiver of overstay fines, which normally cost Rp1 million per day. To apply, foreigners must present their original passports along with official flight cancellation notices and original tickets.
While an Emirates Airbus A-380 departed for Dubai early Thursday after being grounded for four days, flights for Qatar Airways and Etihad remain largely cancelled, leaving nearly 6,000 international passengers currently unable to depart from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
