Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has ordered the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and regional departments to scrub the capital of fraudulent "Data Matrix" QR code stickers linked to online gambling. 

The directive came after the recent arrest of a 38-year-old suspect, identified as SH, who allegedly plastered these 2D barcodes on public facilities and private vehicles across South Jakarta. Linked to offshore servers via encrypted networks, these stickers lure residents into illicit betting and sophisticated phishing scams.

"I have instructed the Satpol PP to conduct a comprehensive screening and take immediate action to protect our citizens from these financial traps," Governor Pramono said on Friday (6/3/2026), as reported by antaranews.com.

While police continue to pursue two fugitives in the network, Jakarta officials are prioritizing the removal of these physical gateways to cybercrime. The Jakarta government maintains a zero-tolerance policy, emphasizing that such predatory tactics severely undermine the economic stability of Jakarta’s residents.
