Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The Bali Regional Police have affirmed that the island remains safe for both domestic and international visitors following a shooting incident involving an Australian national in Munggu, Badung Regency.
“Criminal incidents are part of social dynamics. But overall, we can say that Bali is perfectly safe,” said Bali Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy. as reported by antaranews.com on Thursday (19/6/2025).
He explained that the Indonesian National Police (INP), supported by the Indonesian Military(TNI), are consistently on alert to safeguard public order and security in Bali. The island benefits from the presence of traditional local security units known as Pecalang, who work alongside the police to ensure community safety.
Chief Ariasandy also encouraged all stakeholders, including ambassadors from foreign countries, to help inform their citizens about local laws and customs to prevent any potential disturbances.
Tourists are advised to remain respectful of local regulations and to report any signs of criminal activity to local authorities.
