Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Bali Regional Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya convened foreign consuls in Bali on Friday (7/2/2025) to address growing security concerns affecting tourism.

“There has been a rise in public order disturbances, from traffic violations to criminal acts, involving foreign nationals both as victims and perpetrators,” he said after the meeting at Bali Police Headquarters in Denpasar.

As a world-renowned destination, Bali’s tourism requires collective responsibility to maintain safety and quality. Daniel emphasized the importance of ensuring a secure and well-managed tourism industry to enhance visitor experiences and local prosperity.

Bali recorded 6.49 million foreign arrivals in 2024, up 24.78% from 2023. However, high-profile incidents involving foreigners have drawn public attention.

Chief Daniel urged consuls to educate their citizens on local laws and customs, ensuring cooperation with authorities in legal matters. The meeting underscored the need for collaboration between law enforcement, tourists, and diplomatic representatives to safeguard Bali’s reputation as Indonesia’s premier travel destination.
