The deployment of thousands of troops ahead of Christmas and New Year was explained by the Chief of Bali Regional Police, Police Inspector General Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, while attending a coordination meeting for the control of Covid-19 on the Christmas and New Year holiday at the Gajah Jaya Sabha Building, Denpasar, Sunday (12/19/2021).
The meeting was also attended by the Governor of Bali, Bali High Court, Military Resort Command 163/Wira Satya, Mayor, Regent and Regent Deputy throughout Bali.
In the meeting, the Chief of Regional Police explained the Bali Regional Police's security plan from before until after the Christmas and New Year holiday celebration.
The Two-Stars General also emphasized that his party will synergize with relevant agencies to carry out maximum security to provide a sense of safety and comfort for people who will celebrate Christmas.
In addition, the Bali Regional Police will also continue to carry out strict surveillance activities to suppress the rate of development of Covid-19 cases.

Then carry out improved routine to control Covid-19 before and after Christmas and New Year. Meanwhile, to secure Christmas and New Year celebrations such as reducing crime and traffic accidents and preventing Covid-19, the Bali Regional Police will carry out the Lilin Agung Operations, "explained the Chief of Bali Regional Police.
The Chief of Regional Police added that his party will hold Lilin Agung Operation from December 24, 2021, to January 2, 2022. The security involves 1,497 Indonesian National Police personnel. This year's Lilin Agung operation aims to close and divert traffic to public areas and tourist destinations.
Meanwhile, it is related to tightening traffic flow for people who will go home and return by strictly checking the health protocol travel conditions and carrying out socialization and appeals from public order and safety to implement health protocol.
The Chief of Regional Police also emphasized that the security of worship, shopping centres, economic centres, vital objects, tourist sites, and New Year's celebrations must comply with health protocol.
