Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A 23-year-old Bank Indonesia employee died after jumping from the rooftop of the central bank’s office complex in Central Jakarta on Monday morning.
Gambir Police Office Chief Senior Inspector Rezeki Revi confirmed on Tuesday (27/5/2025) the incident, saying that the victim had joined BI as an Assistant Manager in January 2025.
Police conducted a crime scene investigation and found no signs of physical violence on the body, according to antaranews.com.
CCTV footage and witness accounts revealed that the employee, identified by initials RANK, arrived at the BI building at 5.48 am., took the elevator to the 15th floor, and jumped from the west rooftop at approximately 6:07 a.m.
Bank Indonesia's Head of Communication Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, expressed deep condolences and confirmed that the funeral arrangements had been completed in coordination with the family and police.
The motive behind the incident remains unclear as investigations continue. Authorities have not indicated foul play.
