Inp.polri.go.id - Kediri. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi swept Surabaya Samator 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-20) in the first series of the 2025 PLN Mobile Proliga final four at GOR Jayabaya stadium, Kediri, on Thursday night (17/4/2025).
Reinforced by foreign players Kyle Russel and Leonardo Leyva Martinez, and locals with Farhan Halim and Alvin Daniel, Bhayangkara dominated the first set. Despite tougher resistance in the second set, a service error by Samator sealed a 25-21 win for Bhayangkara, according to antaranews.com.
The third set saw Samator, with only one foreign player, briefly keep up. However, strong attacks by Leyva and Alvin widened the gap to 23-18 before Bhayangkara closed with a 25-20 win.
Coach Reidel Toiran acknowledged his foreign players were adapting but remained optimistic about the team's progress. Samator’s manager, Hadi Sampurno, admitted his team was surprised in the first set but performed better in the next two.
Despite the loss, Samator expected improved results in their upcoming matches.
