inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) stated that Sobat Bersinar (Free from Drugs) cadres are agents of change tasked with providing drug prevention education in schools and social settings.
The Head of the BNN, Suyudi Ario Seto, emphasized the importance of strengthening education-based prevention programs, especially for the younger generation, through schools and the community.
"This program is part of the implementation of the Anti-Narcotics Curriculum Integration (IKAN), which is integrated with the Ananda Bersinar (National Anti-Narcotics Action Starting with Children Clean from Drugs) program," explained Ario during an audience with the Batubara Regent on Friday (5/22/2026).
Furthermore, BNN is also encouraging the formation of four cadres in each school as peer educators to strengthen the resilience of the younger generation against the dangers of drug abuse.
He also challenged village heads in Batubara Regency to be courageous in mapping and reporting hotspots for drug distribution in their respective areas.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between village officials and the security officers in monitoring the circulation of e-cigarettes and the abuse of liquid narcotics, which are beginning to target rural communities.
In the area of rehabilitation, BNN is promoting the registration of former drug addicts and strengthening certification-based training through Vocational Training Centers BLK to help them acquire skills and income, thus preventing relapse.
