inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) says the mentoring and education programs improve the quality of human resources (HR) of deradicalization inmates.

The Head of BNPT, Eddy Hartono says the program helps the former terrorist to be prepared in returning to the society by providing them with a number of skills and competencies according to their talents and interests.

“We will continue to provide supervision through education, penetration and our patience as this is part of an important process. BNPT will always present as the partners of the deradicalization inmates,” says the Head of BNPT on Monday (10/7/2024).

In realizing the goal of the program, BNPT invites the ministries/institutions, with the support from the Special Detachment 88 Anti Terror and regional government along with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum to support the monitoring and education program.

Eddy says that through the various programs of the ministries/institutions, BNPT will continue the deradicalization effort so that the former terrorist can properly return to the society.

Lastly, he says the government will continue to facilitate the needs of deradicalization inmates so they can be safe from being exposed again with the intolerant and radical ideologies.
