Inp.polri.go.id -. Agam. Officers from the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Jambi Regional Police have constructed an emergency bridge to reconnect two flood-affected villages in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, after severe flooding cut off vital access routes.

“This operation reflects the Indonesian Police’s commitment to restoring mobility and supporting community recovery after disasters,” said Jambi Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji, as cited by antaranews.con on Thursday (15/1/2026)..

The temporary bridge links Kampung Tengah Timur and Padang Landua villages in Palembayan District and was built on Thursday using locally sourced materials. A 24-member Brimob team from Battalion A Pelopor transported timber and structural components to reopen the main inter-village route.

The bridge is expected to restore daily mobility, ensure the flow of basic supplies, and support economic and social activities disrupted by the floods. Personnel were equipped with search-and-rescue gear, logistics support, and operational vehicles to ensure safe construction.
