Inp.polri.go.id - Lanny Jaya. It started as an ordinary afternoon at a security post, Pos Blukar 6.7 in Tiom, Papua Mountains. As school let out, a group of children passed by, their cheerful chatter filling the air.
Noticing their long hair and knowing that haircuts in the area could be expensive, personnel from Damai Cartenz Task Force made a simple yet meaningful offer: a free haircut.
Excited by the unexpected treat, the children eagerly lined up as First Bhayangkara Pauola Abilio Dacosta skillfully trimmed their hair. Laughter and stories were exchanged, turning the activity into more than just a grooming session—it became a moment of connection.
“This isn’t just about cutting hair. It’s about building trust, showing that we are here not only to ensure security but also to care for the community,” said Deputy Chief of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga over the weekend
This initiative reflects Satgas Damai Cartenz’s commitment to a soft approach in Papua, fostering goodwill through social programs in health, education, and humanitarian aid.
