Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana confirmed on Mondau (17/2/2025) that health checks for public bus drivers will extend beyond the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Traffic Safety Operation 2025, continuing until after the Eid celebrations in April this year.
“We hope these measures will yield maximum impact, ensuring safe and controlled transportation,” he said during a visit to the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal in East Jakarta, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He explained that these checks will be conducted at several terminals to ensure public transportation readiness for the festive season.
The initiative focuses on ensuring drivers are in optimal condition, including conducting urine tests to verify they are not under the influence of drugs.
The INP Traffic Corps has launched a 14-day Traffic Safety Operation 2025 to boost road user compliance and proper driving discipline.
