Celebrating 75th Bhayangkara Day, North Sumatra Regional Police Held Social Service and Donates 5,000 Basic Food Packages

In commemorating 75th Bhayangkara Day, North Sumatra Regional Police held a social service event and donated 5,000 basic food packages for people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic at the KS Tubun Court, North Sumatra Regional Police Headquarter, on Friday (25/06/2021). The social service event was attended by the Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General Panca Putra Simanuntak; Commander of 1st/Bukit Barisan Military Region, Armed Forces Major General Hassanudin; Deputy Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Brigadier General H. Dadang Hartanto; and other primary officials of North Sumatra Regional Police. In his opening statement, the Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police said that the relief is distributed in many locations and targets 18 public elements in North Sumatra. This event aims to alleviate some of the people's economic burden, which already affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. "The social service event in commemorating the Bhayangkara Day is to target the recipients, which encompasses 18 public elements in 26 locations. The public elements are farmers, nursing homes, daily labours, laid-off teachers, Papuan students, offline and online motor-taxi drivers, and street vendors", the Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police said. The social event was held between June 25 to 30 using distribution pattern, and delivery of the package is carried out by representatives of Armed Forces and Police, together with community groups and organisations. The delivery was conducted by direct delivery to the recipients and still adhering Health Protocols", Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police concludes.
