Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Sub-regional Police officers distributed mineral water and snacks to protesters from the DPP Gerakan Sahabat Komendan (GASMEN) at the Monas square in Central Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026).

"The Indonesian National Police are present not only to maintain safety and order, but also to provide services with a humanistic approach. We want to ensure that people conveying their aspirations still feel safe and comfortable," said Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Reynold E.P. Hutagalung.

He said that while public expression is a legally protected right, it must be conducted orderly without disrupting public interest. He urged participants to work together with law enforcement to maintain a peaceful environment throughout the demonstration.

The distribution concluded smoothly, with the overall situation at the protest location remaining safe and well-controlled.
