Inp.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police inspected peatland fire extinguishing and cooling operations in Manduhara Ujung, Palangka Raya, on Saturday (26/9/2026).

Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan directly reviewed the location following intensive land wetting using specialized X-Fire extinguishing fluid designed for peatland fires.

He explained that Manduhara Ujung previously produced thick smoke that drifted into and degraded air quality across parts of Palangka Raya City.

"We conducted wetting operations using X-Fire fluid, which is formulated to extinguish and cool peatland fires. The results are proving effective, as smoke plumes in this area have ceased," Chief Iwan said.

Following the trial in Manduhara Ujung, the Central Kalimantan Police and the regional Land and Forest Fire Task Force plan to deploy X-Fire fluid treatment across other high-risk peatland areas to mitigate haze and preserve air quality throughout Palangka Raya.
