Inp.polri.go.id – Central Sulawesi. Madago Raya Operation Task Force of Central Sulawesi Regional Police invites religious figures to protect the people from the radical ideologies.

The Head of Public Relations Sub-task Force of Madago Raya Operations, Police Senior Inspector Basirun Laele explains that they would play an important role in maintaining peace and security in their areas.

“The religious figure and locals have an important role in providing understanding against the danger of radicalism,” said Basirun on Tuesday (5/7/2024).

They could help the police to identify and prevent the spread of radicalism and intolerance in Central Sulawesi. Moreover, unity and harmony between people, and the active role of bright youths could prevent radicalism from influencing society.

Furthermore, Basirun highlights that the activity is also part of Madago Raya Task Force effort in building strong synergy between religious figures and locals as they are the key in tackling radicalism.

“Let us together maintain the unity and harmony of the state. Do not be easily swayed by the radicals and intolerance provocations. We have to protect and remind each other to beware of the dangerous ideologies,” conclude Basirun.
