The Operations Chief  Assistant to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief Commissioner General Muhammad Fadil Imran, accompanied by East Nusa Tenggara Deputy Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Faizal, inspected the earthquake evacuee shelter in Reo, Manggarai Regency, on Monday, (17/8/2026).

Operating under the national coordination of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the INP deployed Mobile Brigade (Brimob) SAR teams, mobile field kitchens, and four Pusdokkes medical doctors to treat displaced residents. The INP also prepared three helicopters for aerial logistics distribution to remote areas, alongside Starlink satellite communication terminals and power generators.

During the site visit, Chief Fadil Imran offered immediate medical evacuation via ground ambulance or helicopterfor an earthquake victim suffering from fractures.

"All medical expenses will be covered by the state," he said. "Working alongside the military, BNPB, and local administration, the INP remains fully committed to meeting basic needs, delivering medical treatment, and supporting post-disaster recovery in Flores."
