inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chinese Prime Minister (PM) Li Qiang, Sunday (25/5), said China is ready to work with Indonesia to strengthen political trust and strategic coordination between the two countries to a higher level.
Li made the statement when meeting with President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Prabowo Subianto during his official visit to Indonesia.
According to Li, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China 75 years ago, the two sides have supported and supported each other, and the traditional friendship between the two countries remains solid and relevant to this day.
During Prabowo's visit to China in November 2024, the presidents of the two countries also reached an important consensus on building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future that has regional and global influence, which has brought bilateral relations to a historical high and opened up broad prospects for cooperation.
Li also said that China is willing to work with Indonesia to adhere to the original aspirations of the establishment of diplomatic relations, carry forward the tradition of friendship, and enhance unity and cooperation.
He added that China is also ready to consolidate cooperation in the "five pillars," namely politics, economy, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, maritime affairs, and security; jointly address various risks and challenges; and promote closer common development.
Li said that China is willing to work with Indonesia to enhance the alignment of development strategies, and deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, especially by optimizing and strengthening key projects.
He also hopes that the two countries will further enhance the "golden brand" of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train (KCJB), and encourage the development of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor and the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project.
