inp.polri.go.id - Papua. The Vice Commission III of Indonesian House of Representatives, Pangeran Khairul Saleh asked security officials to immediately arrest the Armed Criminal Group who assaulted and killed a truck driver in Dekai District, Papua Mountains.
He believes that the Indonesian National Police (INP) must be bolder in their action against the Armed Criminal Group for what they did.
“The Armed Criminal Group has done many heinous crimes. They are terrorists who continue to terrorize the people of Papua,” said Pangeran.
Pangeran also implored INP to ensure dozens of truck passengers who survived the ambush to be safe.
On the other hand, he appreciates the effort of the military and police in handling the Armed Criminal Group. He highlights that solidarity and unity between the two security institutions played an integral role in preventing Armed Criminal Group criminal actions.
“With firm actions, fair law enforcement, and strong cooperation between military and police, we hoped for peace and security in Papua,” prayed Pangeran.
Furthermore, he also underscores the importance of law enforcement using the criminal justice system when facing the Armed Criminal Group violence in Papua. However, he also asked the government to also strengthen the social and cultural approach to prevent the Armed Criminal Group from recruiting more innocent civilians.
Pangeran wants the government to provide maximum protection to the people of Papua, including by boosting security officials presence in vulnerable areas to provide aid to the victims.
